The Volcán de Fuego erupted on June 3rd, 2018, in the Escuintla region of Guatemala. 109 people were confirmed dead and 200 missing. The eruption lasted 16 hours and was described by the Washington Post as "a 1,300-degree river of hell that can move faster than anyone can run."
